morning Sunshine! Wakey-wakey. At 8:00am we got up and fixed ourselves for our
buffet breakfast and since the room is only good for 2, thus the breakfast, we
paid for extra 2 persons for P1,316 each. Pricey though, but the thinking of we
will having a breakfast together what matters most that no amount of penny can
The Cafe Jeepney caters different cuisines, from Japanese foods (sushi and maki) to American
foods (bagel, bread, cornflakes & etc.) to Filipino dishes. Well, for that
price, the buffet breakfast was not worth it. Yeah, it does cater different
variants but of limited choices and the taste was not that delectable. If I
would rate it, it’s just an A-OK or So-so and I would not recommend it either. Practically speaking, your P1,316 can already
have a sumptuous meal from a fine dining restaurant nearby. Good thing, they
had fresh fruits and fresh fruit juices, plus the staffs were so accommodating
and friendly, it made my breakfast anyway.
forward, after a great inspiring and uplifting talks that we had over breakfast,
we headed back to our room and did some product shoot for our accessory/apparel
brand Classioré, aside from unwinding and celebrating a victorious days during
the Super Sale Bazaar, another reasons why we have to had a hotel staycation. We
found InterContinental Hotel a classy place for our classy accessories and
items. Photos were captured by our dear friend Andrej, who’s always been
supportive on our escapades and whatnots. Thank you!

the shoot, we called our friend Neil to come over and have lunch with us which
he agreed and after an hour, he’s already knocking on the door. Over our sumptuous
lunch at Buddy’s where we ordered Longganisang Lucban, Pancit Habhab, Fresh
Lumpia and Cassava Cakes we decided to spend another night in the hotel! Yeah,
another night for us because we are not yet able to swim in the hotel’s
swimming pool due to some hectic schedule (hmmm… laying down in the soft bed
and cuddling with the huggable pillows means hectic sched) Ha-ha. Well, that’s
hotel staycation was all about – relaxing and just by doing nothing!
4pm, we went back to our room and requested to be transferred to another room
because of the messy room that we had. Instead of having housekeeping we insist
to transfer us to other room. We were just acting maarte and looking forward to have the best stay that we could ever
have. Time to rest for a while and did some photo ops while me, updating my
blog and whereabout.
for dinner! We were still full from our late lunch in Buddy’s thus we opted for
light meal and since it’s our 2nd night we decided to drink. Yani
and Andrej bought some Tous Les Jours breads and pastries at Greenbelt and red
wines at SM Supermarket. One thing we loved about InterContinental Hotel was
that malls and supermarkets are its neighborhood. So you can just go down,
cross the street and there you go.
This wine tastes sooo good - sweet! My new favorite. So
that’s it for our Day 2. Cheers! Good night Darlings! Day 3 (more of swimming)
up next so please stays tuned.
part of the activities
of the Peñafrancia Festival 2013 happened at Naga City, Philippines last
September 11-21, 2013, a Military Parade was also held at the Plaza Quezon
wherein tons of people were gathered to witnessed the grand festivities. I,
myself, was not there to personally see the colorful and fun vibe of the Peñafrancia
Festival but I am still grateful that my friend Andrej was there (well, his
hometown) and captured these vivid pictures of the event, thus, I got something
to share to you darlings, my readers! And of course, a beautiful reminder that
I should be there next year and perhaps, you too! Enjoy browsing more photos here.
After having a great
sale during the 3-day Super Sale Bazaar in World Trade Center, my partners and
I decided to treat ourselves in a one night staycation somewhere in Makati.
Well, we first thought of New World Hotel but we found it too costly that we
can’t afford yet that luxurious stay. Thus, after scouting some 4-5 star hotels
in the Metro, basically in Ortigas and Makati, we ended up with
InterContinental Hotel. Well, we first thought of Linden Suites in Ortigas ‘coz
of the cozy bar & swimming pool (photos searched in Google) however, due to
some uncertain things happened we considered that we should stay within Makati.
New World Makati is one of hotels we were eager to spend our night because it
also our company’s hotel whenever there is visitor/guest. We thought that if
that is the case we could get discount but it only applies for Business
transaction only so we better moved on.
It was last minute
decision to stay at InterContinental Hotel because I still found it costly for
having an overnight stay of P6500 as their published rate. Good thing, I called
them first and I was glad that they have P4500 promo rates for local residents.
Yihee! Though it is only good for 2 and they only allowed max of 3 adults in one
room. Moving forward, Yani and I checked in at around 2:30pm as I came from the
office and the other two girls will be there at around 5-6pm ‘coz they still
have some errands to attend to, well, good thing that’s the case, Yani and I
still have time to rest and took some room photos.
photo ops in the lobby while waiting for Kae We have a superior/deluxe
room which I already posted here
having twin bed in it. Perfect! It can fit 4
girls that are just having fun. Ha-ha. Sorry InterContinental but another
room is not an option because if we were not staying in one room then what’s
the point of having a staycation, but don’t worry, because we paid an extra
P1,316 for each person for their buffet breakfast, which we found out at the
later part that was not a good idea. Simply because you don’t replenish food
even though there were still guest eating/having their breakfast and the
selection is limited at the Jeepney Manila Restaurant. Never mind. We were
there because we wanted to spend days being with our friends – you know,
talking about goals, ideas, plans, future, work, guys, girl stuff, travel, next
staycation, and whatnots. That’s what matters to us!
wearing: classiore long necklace, bayo top, tomato mini short/skirt, ipanema slippers, tomato watch and bracelet
The hotel has an elegant interior design that we couldn't help it but have a lot of photos. Thanks to Drej, who's been very supportive friend and photographer as well.
Finally at 8pm,
everyone’s ready to go out and hunt for restaurant that would give us a decent
dinner in the nearby establishments. Can you guess where? Ha-ha. Of course, at
Greenbelt! Since we were on a hotel staycation mode and trying to be a tourist,
we made it to be extra special, so we had a succulent Korean dinner at Bulgogi.
After that we headed to Starbucks just across InterContinental Hotel to chill
and have some awesome talks about our life and everything in between ‘til past
1am and decided to call it a night.
Day 2 will be all
about buffet breakfast and swimming day! Nytie-nytie! InterContinental Hotel 1 Ayala Ave., Makati City Philippines
Guys and Gals! Hello September! I’ve been hooked up on various things these
past few days hence, I wasn’t able to update my travel blog to let you know my

minutes to update my online travel journal. And luckily, was able to do it!
So far, I do have pending

outdoor activities we’ve done and experience that we had during our stay.
2. Phi-phi IslandResort, Morong, Bataan, where we stayed and did our team building. The weather
was not good though, but still the spirit of having fun despite everything was still present at that moment.
3. Naga & Legazpi
City. Friends and I welcomed the ‘ber-months’ with a bang as we had out-of-town getaways for 3-Days without so
much planning, so everything was really in impromptu and it turns-out great! By
doing this, I’ll be sharing with you some tips (do’s and don’ts) so that the
next time you guys or even I have an unplanned trip and still wanted to spend
it in luxurious ways we already know how
to do it.
4. And last but not the
least, our Company Outing held at Fontana Leisure Park last weekend. It was fun
and exciting as we did the “Project X” to socialize and make friends.
To sum it up,
everything was fantastic and ended up fun. An experience worthy to be shared
and remembered. Hope to see you soon, darlings! Happy Tuesday!

As I grow older I tend to do things that makes me happy and traveling is one of those. I realized that, traveling with the family is always fun and could relate on whatever mood I am in. That's why, I am upgrading this space to family & places since we are maximizing our weekends by visiting nearby places.
Watch out for more family getaways having two cute kids on the road with either Mitsubishi L300 Van orMitsubishi Mirage Hatchback 2016 and sometimes, both.
See you on the road! ^^
